The Center for Educational and Innovation Technology (CEIT) was established by integrating the relevant human resources, equipment, tools, and technologies of the “Educational Borderless Project.” With tasks of planning, preparing, executing, producing, and evaluating multimedia sets for education without borders in various disciplines, educational media development and production projects that have the mission of making and developing teaching and learning media and producing media for public relations, as well as being a laboratory for advanced experience training for students study information science courses according to Suranaree University of Technology requirements regarding the establishment of the Center for Educational Innovation and Technology 2008, since June 11, 2008, with the duty of being the central unit of the university in the production and development of teaching and learning support materials. Development of teaching and learning systems using information technology, research and development of teaching media innovations, advanced training experience for information science students, production of media for public relations, publishing operations, and others according to the mission of the university under the management principle of “Integrating Services, Coordinating Missions.”
CEIT has organized an organization to support the implementation of the mission in planning, designing, and developing educational media, audio-visual media production, production of computer media in online and offline formats, print media production, efficiency testing and evaluation of research media to develop quality, media, system development, and knowledge base management, the development of a teaching and learning system via a network to prepare for teaching and learning, providing education and learning through networks and providing advanced practice services for information science students.
CEIT’s operation has resulted in students learning from quality learning materials and reviewing lessons more conveniently using the university network system. Information science program students will gain practical experience with advanced equipment equivalent to the workplace.
It also encourages faculty to develop teaching materials with information technology to ease the burden of teaching preparation. As a result, faculty members have quality media that meet standards for teaching and have more time for research. Therefore, the operation of the Center for Educational Innovation and Technology is essential in enhancing the efficiency of the university’s teaching and learning management. It also reflects the image of being a leader in innovation and educational technology who is ready to produce media to support teaching and learning with a quality knowledge base so that students can access without limitation and make public relations materials according to the university’s mission and have quality.
